First, I do a summary of a recent research done on the topic of
appearance prediction, measurements and rendering. There are different
pant techniques used in industry and each need a different approach for
a perception prediction of a final lacquer. We will see some examples of
urushi rendering, car paint rendering, sparkle rendering for Volkswagen
and PSA.
There are two general approaches to fluid dynamics simulation: mesh
based and particle based methods. We did a research with mesh based
methods but currently a big progress has been done on particle based
methods. I will present a volume of fluid technique that preserves the
fluid volume during the entire simulation. We extent this technique to
multiple fluids (demonstration will show two fluids) and adaptive octree
simulation grid. Our approach is to use a huge fluid simulations,
therefore we need to take advantage of both approaches. We developed a
nice and fastest k-nearest neighbour seach method often needed in
particle based simulations.
講演者について (about the speaker):
Dr. Roman Durikovic studied parallel numerical optimization methods and computer graphics and he completed his M.Sc. (RNDr.) degree in Computer Graphics at the Fac. of Mathematics and Physics, Comenius University, Slovakia in June 1989.
From April 1993 to March 1996 he was Ph.D. student at Hiroshima University with a Monbusho scholarship, where he took his Ph.D.
Since April 1, 1996 he was an invited associate researcher at Hiroshima University.
In April 1998 he moved to Kyushu University in Fukuoka as an Assistant Researcher where he was involved in problems of computational simulations of molecular dynamics.
From April 1999 until March 2005, he came back to CG field at The University of Aizu as a Professor.
His last position from April 2005 is at Comenius University and at University of Saint Cyril and Metod in Slovakia as an associate professor.
Member of IEEE Engineering in Medicine, Biology Society, IEEE Computer Society, EG, and SIGGRAPH.
